Clients of Ms. Williams’ will receive treatment that centers on their particular set of needs and treatment goals.

Adhering to a style of practicing that has the therapist meeting the client where they are, Ms. Williams, also includes culturally sensitive practices in her treatment style methods. Clients can rest assured that Ms. Williams will facilitate therapy that considers their cultural background, internal understanding of themselves, societal positioning, and their personal history. Believing that the therapy space should be judgement-free and tailored to the clients’ needs, Ms. Williams, aims for every client to feel supported and respected as they undergo their therapeutic process. Services

Individual

Here one can look forward to a deep dive into who they are as a person and how their life experiences have shaped them. As your therapist, I will create a safe space for you to explore new understandings of yourself and your life circumstances. Together, we will create and weave through conversations around your presenting issues and approach each with sensitivity and care, to aid in fostering personal growth. This is a judgement free space that is led by you, the client. Life can feel overwhelming to the extent that you have not had time or the mental capacity to process the many facets of yourself and your world Whatever difficulties or challnges you come with, you will be met with a therapist that values you in your totality and is sensitive to your needs.

Sex Therapy

This approach is for those desiring a clearer inner dialogue around sex and/or sexual intimacy; improved sexual connection with partner(s); and a desire to develop healthier attitudes around sex within oneself. We live our lives being inundated by images and messages about sexuality, which can affect how we view ourselves as sexual beings. Studies show that children as young as eleven years old encounter pornographic material through the internet and other sources. Our first exposure to sexually explicit materials often comes without a balance of receiving accurate sex education. Those wanting to check in with themselves around their beliefs about sexuality and how those beliefs shape their perspective on sex and intinacy will find a listening ear here. Whether single or in a relationship, sex therapy can be a fruitful exploration that helps improve a person’s sex life and overall wellbeing.

Intimacy can feel overwhelming, scary even, causing single individuals and those in committed relationships to struggle to feel connected. Whether you desire a space to learn how to feel more comfortable dating or you are committed lovers looking for reconnection, you will be offered a space to move towards your relationship goals. All relationship types are welcomed by this practice, no matter if you identify as queer, polyamorous, monogamist, or asexual. Come unveil yourself through relationship therapy designed to tap into the varying emotional and physica needs we hold as humans.

Relationship Therapy

Family Therapy

Family dynamics are complex and often have deeply rooted communication styles, behavioral patterns, and varying affects and emotions. In therapy, families will be supported in assessing their bonds; evaluating historical verses current perceptions of the family unit; learning what role they play in their family and how to use this information to build greater trust and understanding between family members. Holding central a belief that family relationships are integral to our development from childhood on, I will assist families in processing past hurts, current breakdowns, and trauma. Together, we will work (because therapy is work) to create new narratives that allow family members to break free of dysfunction, communication breakdowns, and rigid perceptions of one another.
